As an organazation we hope to make literacy more accessible and build strong relationships with local businesses and schools. Together as a community, we can help to promote creativity and literature in the youth that will lead the next generation. You can learn more about our partners and sponsors below.
Our main goal is to collect donated books and gift them to children in need. To collect these books, we organize community book drives and events. You can find how to donate books, or about our next book drive below.
The Book Project organizes monthly creative writing and poetry contests(ages 8-18), as well as illustration contests (ages 5-14). The deadline is the end of each month and results will be posted on our website. The winner receives a certificate, publication on our website, and an indigo gift card. You can enter a contest by clicking below.
Fundraising is a large part of this intitiative. By raising money, we can expand the idea of gifting second hand books to those in need. This money will also go towards purchasing specific school books for families who require financial support. You can learn more about our fundraisers below.
